In 1974, Gibson got his start in the business of spreading news through Television News Inc. (TVN). For TVN, he reported on the Watergate scandal investigations and President Richard Nixon’s resignation.

Gibson also started his career with ABC News in 1975. He worked there from 1976 to 1977. He started out as a White House correspondent. From 1977 to 1981, he covered traditional activities as a reporter. From 1981 to 1987, he covered the House of Representatives as a journalist.

Charles Gibson has been happily married to his beautiful wife, Arlene Gibson, since 1967. Arlene was the head of The Spence School for a long time until she decided to retire. She has also worked as a teacher at several New York City and New Jersey places.

In the 1980s, Charles’s wife was the head of the middle school at the Baltimore, Maryland-based Bryn Mawr School. Arlene is a trustee on the board of Bryn Mawr College, which is in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. As a result of their marriage, Charlie and Arlene are lucky to have two daughters. Their names are Jessica Gibson and Katherine Gibson, who is her sister.
